Some basic information about the new Star Power:
Once he uses his booster he gets a large area of increased movement speed, which is very strong to dominate areas, make very aggressive plays, be very defensive, and make perfect kills! Also, you don't need to team with others that much to win now with the new Star Power.
Tips:
- At the start you need to focus on getting power cubes, and kill those who come close. It is essential so that you can charge your Super and get your booster up. A decent amount of health is needed for 8-BIT to be able to survive and still dominate without Extra Life in Showdown.
- 8-BIT now depends on the booster and the aggressive plays you make with it! Try to place the booster in a defensive position so it's hard to destroy it. If enemies try to run towards it, you can always use your Gadget to teleport and kill them!
- Getting your Super as soon as possible is the #1 key to dominate. It is also very helpful when you are playing aggressively. In an aggressive play, throw it right in front of you so the area around it can be fully dominated by you, and if you are in danger, just teleport away with your Gadget.
- Once you have your booster, it is very important that you always stay in its range until all the kills are made. While you have a movement advantage and after finishing your kills, move! Don't stay at the exact same spot throughout the whole game.
- When you are out of the booster's range or when it is destroyed, try to play a bit more passively until you gained the Super to take back control of the situation!
- As the match progresses, the location of your booster is very important when the map becomes tighter and tighter. 8-BIT is now a control-depending Brawler so place it in the centre and use it when you need it!
- Use the large area of your booster as bait for other enemies to walk in. You can then teleport and make the kill!
- It is OK to get out of the booster's range when you are trying to make a kill. But when you are out of its range, remember to get back as soon as possible since you are very slow without your booster.
- In extreme conditions, you can throw your booster right in front of enemies, and instantly teleport there with your Gadget. You can surprise anyone since they don't expect you to be so aggressive.
- The fast movement speed + Gadget is very effective against Assassin Brawlers like Mortis and Crow. They think that you cannot escape while the booster is next to you. Instant defence / confusion = KILL!!!
- Although it is not recommended, you can place your booster on a large area of power cubes to open them all.
- 8-BIT's range is INSANE!!! The more open the map the better he is!!! When you are in a long-range fight, stay in your booster's range to be able to get kills more easily.
- When there are only 2 Brawlers left, you can place your booster in the very centre and check the whole area around it.
- When you see multiple enemies, get into your booster's range and target one enemy first. You can easily out-range and out-damage them. Remember, you have the element of surprise!
- Dynamike is your #1 counter. His Super and Gadget can easily overpower 8-BIT. Be careful!
- Don;t forget to use a happy pin after winning the battle!
