Training Cave

The Training Cave (named in-game as Training Grounds) is a special area that can be accessed through a Brawler's Menu or the Settings menu. If accessing the cave through a specific Brawler or skin, you can play as that Brawler or skin regardless of whether you own it or not. You can edit your controls through the Training Cave by accessing it through owned Brawlers or your settings. You can also practice attacks on various immobile robot dummies scattered throughout the map.

The Training Cave acts like a sandbox map, where you can test out different controls, skins, and Brawlers. Your damage-per-second rate is displayed at the top right corner of the screen. To leave the Training Cave, press the Exit button on the bottom of your screen. The Brawler's Power Level is set to the current Brawler Level that you have. If you do not own the Brawler, they are set to Power Level 1 by default.

Layout[]

There are 4 melee robots, each with 4000 health, in each corner of the bottom section point. Further upward, a smaller version of a boss robot can be found with 100000 health with a 3x3 bush cluster underneath. To the far right of the boss robot is a sniper robot enclosed by indestructible walls that has 4000 health and shoots Brawlers and spawnables in a 6.67 tile radius every 1.4 seconds. The sniper robot's bullet does 500 damage. Near the topmost section of the map are 20 mini robots (in rows of 5x4) with 1500 health each. Any defeated robots respawn after 4 seconds of not hitting a target.

Usage[]

Edit Controls

The Training Cave is used for many purposes.

  • It can be used to test out a new skin in the shop to see whether you like it or not.
  • It can be used to test out a new or an upcoming Brawler, whether they are in the Shop or in the Brawler menu.
  • It can be used to practice with a certain Brawler, such as aiming attacks and dodging skills.
  • It can be used purely for fun and amusement, such as trying to destroy all of the robots as fast as you can, destroying all of the obstacles, etc.
  • It can be used to play around while waiting for someone to finish a match or to get back online in a lobby without having to leave it.
  • You can also edit where your controls would be when battling. You can change the position and size of all three joysticks, the Gadget button, the Hypercharge button, and the Pins button.
  • You can also practice chaining your Super onto the 20 small robots with healing of 1500.

There are also some specific things you can use the Training Cave for:

  1. You can use the bushes to test out some Star Powers and Gadgets, such as Piper's Ambush Star Power and Sprout's Garden Mulcher Gadget.
  2. The mini robots can be used to test out piercing attacks, such as Nita's and Tara's attacks, bounce shots such as Jessie's and Belle's attacks, or splash damage attacks like Penny's.
  3. The sniper robot can test out healing Star Powers and Gadgets, such as Leon's Invisiheal Star Power and Poco's Tuning Fork Gadget, defensive Star Powers and Gadgets such as Darryl's Steel Hoops Star Power and Crow's Defense Booster Gadget, or other variable-damage abilities, such as Jacky's Counter Crush Star Power and Nani's Return to Sender Gadget.
