Stranger Things is an event that happened during Brawl Pass Season 44: Stranger Things. The event included a new trophy event, new boss fights, a new rewarding item, a new shop section, as well as a new currency.
Upside Showdown & Hawkins Hunt[]

Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt are new Events introduced in the October 2025 update for the Stranger Things Event. These events are each divided into 5 stages, called a run, with one stage equaling one battle. Runs are completed by either winning all 5 stages, or every 7 days if the run is not completed. Losing one battle at any point of the run will reset the run, starting from stage 1. Once a run is started with a Brawler, the Brawler cannot be changed until the run is finished. Both events reward a specific number of waffles at each stage, listed below.
In addition, Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt have the Card Decks Modifier equipped by default. This Modifier makes Brawler Card Decks usable in these game modes, and only Brawlers who have a Card Deck can be used. Card Decks are obtainable from Card Packs. When the battle starts, each player is given three random Power Card options to choose from, with 6 seconds to choose. After choosing a Power Card, this power is applied to the Brawler for the duration of the match. If the match is won, the Power Card stays with the Brawler for the next match, and in the next match 3 other Power Cards are presented so one can be chosen. The number of Cards corresponds to the current stage, with the maximum being 5 at once.
Power Cards[]

Power Cards are abilities that are added to a Brawler in a game of Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt every time they pass a stage. Different Brawlers have different Card Decks. Power Cards can only be active in events with the Card Decks Modifier.
Waffles[]
Waffles are a special time-limited currency in this event. They can be obtained through various methods:
- Through the daily supply of free waffles in the Shop. The first day awarded 300 Waffles. From day 2 onwards, 80 Waffles were given per day for 27 days (2460 Waffles in total).
- Buying them in the Shop for Gems or real money, or from the
Supercell Store. - From Daily Wins. 15 Waffles are awarded 3 times within the first 6 wins of the day.
- Playing Upside Showdown and Hawkins Hunt runs. Only 95 Waffles can be gained per day in Upside Showdown (unless a Run isn't finished when 95 Waffles are obtained), and 360 Waffles for Spirit Frank and Vecna bosses, and 180 Waffles for Brawl-o-ween bosses in Hawkins Hunt, until the next rift/main run starts. Upside Showdown runs reset every day, and Hawkins Hunt runs reset depending on the boss.
- 200 free Waffles were given on 12/11/2025, as a compensation for a maintenance break.
- 200 Waffles can be claimed for free from 1 Content Creator voucher.
- 40 Waffles can be claimed for free from Supercell Store.
- Waffles could be claimed from vouchers while watching the Brawl Stars Championship World Finals 2025 live on event.brawlstars.com.
- Several Waffle offers could be claimed from the Supercell Store during Black Friday 2025.

Stranger & Strangest Packs[]
Stranger and Strangest Packs are a special type of drops introduced in the October 2025 update for the Stranger Things Event. Both Stranger and Strangest Packs always contain 1 Brawler's Card Deck, Strangest Packs additionally contain 2 rewards. They can contain Coins, Power Points, Bling, Hypercharges, new Brawlers, and Stranger Things + related cosmetic: skins, Sprays, Profile Icons. When all Card Decks are unlocked, 100 Coins would be awarded instead.
