Pins

Pins are in-game cosmetics introduced in the May 2020 update. Pins can be obtained from Starr Drops or purchased from the Catalog. Occasionally, some Pins appear in deals in the shop (usually on weekends). They come in various rarities, and can be used in the team, club, or friendly game chat or in battles as emotes. You can only use 3 Brawler Pins and 2 Player Pins in battles. The 5 most recently used Pins can be used in a shortcut next to the "..." button in the chat. Unlike Player Pins, Brawler Pins are Brawler-exclusive and are only available to collect once the associated Brawler is unlocked.

Pin Packs

This section describes content that has been replaced or removed from the game. This information is kept here for historical purposes.

Pins could be obtained from Pin Packs which came in the Brawl Pass or in the Shop every weekend and could be bought for 49 Gems. They contained 2 Common Pins with a 15/85% chance for an Epic or Rare Pin respectively. If players were not missing 2 Common Pins and a Rare or Epic Pin, they wouldn't appear in the Shop.

Common, Rare and Epic Pin Packs were also a thing. They could be bought for 29, 79, or 99 Gems and contained 3 Common, 3 Rare, or 3 Epic Pins respectively.

If you had all Pins and try to open a Pin Pack from Brawl Pass, you will get 275 Credits instead.

In the April 2023 update, Pin Packs were removed from the game.

Battle Pins

In a Brawler's menu, players can select and view their Pins they can use in battle with that Brawler. Each Pin has a different and unique background corresponding to its type and rarity. Common Pins have a light blue background, Rare Pins are green, Epic Pins are purple, and Collector's Pins are golden. The fourth and fifth emote slots are Player Pins and can be configured between a player's Player Pins. A Skin doesn't need to be in use when using its corresponding Pins.

Pins can be used in battle as emotes by selecting the button with three dots ("...") in the right-hand side of the screen. The emote button placement can be configured in the Edit Controls screen; pressing it toggles your selected battle emotes. Emotes are visible for both teams and have a cooldown of 10 seconds. Emotes can't be seen when a Brawler is hidden in bushes or invisible (Leon or Sandy) and are displayed for a time period. Muting emotes disables a player from using and receiving them.

Brawler Pins

3 Brawler Pins can only be equipped on the specific Brawler. They can be seen on each individual Brawlers' page. All regular Brawlers' Pins have an animation and play a voice line by voice actors (if applicable) depending on the Pin's expression. Some skins also have special Pins. For all skin Pins, you have to obtain the skin to receive the exclusive Pins.

• Neutral Pins are unlocked automatically once that Brawler is unlocked.
• Common Pins (Happy, Sad, Angry) can be obtained from Starr Drops or purchased from the Catalog for 9 Gems or 375 Bling.
• Rare Pins (GG, Clap) can be obtained from Starr Drops or purchased from the Catalog for 19 Gems or 750 Bling.
• Epic Pins (Thanks, Phew, Special) specific to a Brawler can be obtained from Starr Drops or purchased from the Catalog for 39 Gems or 1500 Bling.
• Facepalm Pins for a specific Brawler can be obtained by reaching the Boss Record for that Brawler.
• Hypercharge Pins for a specific Brawler could be obtained by purchasing the Collector's Pack for that Brawler.
  • For Shelly, the Collector's Pack would be available for purchase after completing a quest required to win 25 matches in Hypercharge Unleashed event.
• Some Collector's Pins are based on skins of specific Brawlers.
  • Pins for Brawl Pass skins were only available as tier rewards in Brawl Pass seasons. The Pin Packs are available as a bundle when the Brawl Pass skins return in the shop a year after they were first released for 149 Gems or 5000 Bling.
  • Pins for Gem skins can be obtained by purchasing the respective Pin's skin.
  • The Brawl-o-ween Rosa Pins can be collected in multiple ways:
    • The Neutral, Thanks, and Special Brawl-o-ween Rosa Pins could be won from the Brawl-o-ween 2020 Challenge along with its featured skin.
    • The Happy, Sad, Angry, GG, and Phew Brawl-o-ween Rosa Pins were available in a bundle offer when the skin was available in the shop. They returned during Brawl-o-ween 2021 and 2022 along with the Clap Pin when the skin became available to purchase.
    • Starting with Brawl-o-ween 2024, the Pin Pack, excluding the Special Pin, is available as a bundle when the skin returns in the shop.
  • The World Finals skin Pins could be obtained by either gaining 1000 points at event.brawlstars.com during the World Finals or by buying the respective Pin's skin.
  • The FrankenGrom skin Pins can be obtained in multiple ways:
    • The Neutral Pin is obtained by purchasing FrankenGrom.
    • The Happy, Sad, Angry, GG, Clap, Phew, Thanks and Special Pins could be obtained by buying them for 19 Gems each on 30/10/22.
    • The Happy Pin could also be obtained by winning once in Stage I in the Ghost Train Challenge.
    • Starting with Brawl-o-ween 2024, the Pin Pack is available as a bundle when the skin returns in the shop.

Default Brawler Pins

If the first, second, or third Pin slot is empty, it is replaced by the Brawler's happy, sad, or angry Pin, respectively. If the player doesn't own them, the default Pins are placed instead.

Collector's Pins

Occasionally, special Pins that may or may not be related to Brawlers are released as part of a celebration of an event or an event itself, such as the Brawlidays, World Finals, or Lunar Brawl events. Most Collector's Pins, except for Brawl Pass, Pro Pass, Monthly Finals and World Finals, appear at a later date in the Catalog for 39 Gems or 1500 Bling.

• The World Finals 2020 Player Pins could be collected through several methods.
  • The Neutral, Happy, Sad, Angry, and Phew World Finals 2020 Pins were purchasable from a World Championship Finals bundle offer for $2.99 USD.
  • The GG World Finals 2020 Pin was rewarded to players that watch the live broadcast of the World Championship Finals using the news tab.
  • The Thanks World Finals 2020 Pin was rewarded to players who purchased an offer when the $500,000 USD target was reached.
  • The Special World Finals 2020 Pin was rewarded to the champions of the World Finals.
• The Brawlidays 2020 Pins can be collected in two ways similar to the Brawl-o-ween and World Finals bundle offers.
  • The Happy, Sad, and Angry Brawlidays Pins could be collected from a free gift on 21/12/20.
  • The Neutral, GG, Thanks, Phew, and Special Brawlidays Pins were available as a bundle offer shortly after the first set is available.
• The Lunar Brawl 2021 Pins can be collected in two ways similar to the way the Brawlidays Pins were obtained.
  • The GG Lunar Brawl Pin was obtainable from a free gift on 11/02/21 for 6 days along with 168 Coins.
  • The Neutral, Happy, Angry, Thanks, and Special Lunar Brawl Pins were available as a bundle when the first gift was available. They returned during Lunar Brawl 2023 when the Pins were available to be purchased separately for 9 Gems each.
• The Championship Challenge Pins could be obtained from completing the first stage from Championship Challenges.
  • The Whistle Pin could also be unlocked randomly from Mina Boxes.
• The World Finals 2021 Player Pins could be collected via watching and interacting the World Finals 2021 on a special website created by Supercell. They could also be collected if the player purchases Cat Burglar Jessie.
  • The Special World Finals 2021 Pin was rewarded to the champions of the World Finals.
  • The Red Foam Finger Pin could be collected as a free gift on 04/03/22.
• The Brawl-o-ween 2021 Pin could be obtained by completing a special challenge on 05/11/21.
• The Singles Challenge Pin could be obtained by completing a special challenge on 11/11/21.
• The Brawlidays 2021 Pins could be collected as free gifts during Brawlidays 2021.

• The Brazil Pin could be obtained by accessing a content creator's link during the 2025 Last Chance Qualifiers. The link was only available for a few a seconds before expiring. Eventually, the Pin could be obtained on 15/10/25 by accessing this link.
• The Neutral Pin could be obtained by attending the 2025 Last Chance Qualifiers in person in São Paulo, Brazil, and performing a specific challenge there.

Brawl Arena Pins can only be used in Brawl Arena and are pre-equipped vertically upon opening the Pins menu. They are used to signal to your teammates which tower/lane to target next; left, middle, or right. The Pin will also appear on the player's icon on the right during the game. Uniquely, Brawl Arena Pins are not displayed for the opponents when a player uses them.
