Monkey Maze is an official map for the Duels event.
Layout[]
This map is vertically, horizontally and diagonally symmetrical. It provides many hiding spots with the long walls on each side, and many barrels. There are also three bush spaces on each side that can be used as a great hiding spot.
Tips[]
- Stu can be incredibly useful, as his Breakthrough Gadget can destroy barrels that are an easy hiding place for the enemy. Since his Super charges in only one hit, he can pass it to Brawlers with deadly but hard-to-charge Supers like Tara, Crow, Gene, and Mico.
- Spike is one of the best options on the map. His shots can be difficult to navigate around, especially with the Curveball Star Power. He can also provide formidable damage up close, and trap enemies with his Super.
- Darryl, Kit, and Edgar can be good on the map. They can charge their Supers behind walls, and then roll/jump onto the opponent.
- A good strategy may be using a tanky Brawler like Rosa, El Primo, Draco, Ash, or Frank to hide behind the barrels until the poison comes in, when it's easy to knockout your enemy due to the limited space. Keep in mind that it can be very hit-or-miss, as your opponent can have a wall-breaker like Colt, Nani, Pearl, Chester, or Brock, or a tank counter like Gale, Bea, Shelly, Lou, or Emz.
- Despite Barley, Tick, Dynamike, and Grom's many counters, they can be deadly on this map due to how easy it is to control the map and hide. An especially effective method is staying behind the farther horizontal pair of barrels on your side of the map while attacking your opponent. By the time the poison clouds come in, the opponent will be forced into your range.
- Buzz is a good option on this map. He can hide behind walls to charge his Super using his Super-charging circle and stun enemies after using his Super, eliminating them quickly. Buzz also has high health, so he would not be defeated easily.
