Brawl Stars Wiki

"By day, Jae-yong is your average office worker. By night, he is a karaoke GOD... or so he thinks. The jury is still out on his singing skills."

Jae-yong is a Mythic Brawler who has moderate health, a relatively low damage output, a fast movement speed, and the ability to transform into multiple different modes through his Super and Gadgets. Playing as Jae-yong will replace the normal battle music with unique music for whichever mode he is in, unless he is respawning or defeated. His Trait allows his Super to charge itself over time. In his work mode, he attacks with a speaker which drops slipstreams in his path, giving himself and allies a speed boost. In his party mode, he attacks with bottles that damages enemies and heals allies in his path. Jae-yong's Super switches between his party and work modes while giving allies temporary buffs: in work mode, it momentarily boosts the movement speed of his and nearby allies, and, in party mode, it instantly heals him and his allies. His first Gadget, Weekend Warrior, instantly deals damage in a circular area around him and temporarily changes his mode to increase his main attack damage. His second Gadget, Time For a Slow Song, instantly slows enemies in a circular area around him, and temporarily changes his mode to make his attacks slow down enemies. His first Star Power, The Crowd Goes Mild, increases his movement speed for every ally close to him. His second Star Power, Extra High Note, increases his main attack damage for every target it pierces.

Trait

"This Brawler charges Super over time."

Jae-yong's Super automatically charges 15% per second, and it takes about 6.67 seconds to fully charge. However, unlike most other Brawlers, he charges an insignificant amount of Super with his attacks.

Attack: Work Hard, Play Hard

"Fires a piercing projectile, with different effects depending on Jae-yong's mode.
WORK: Deals less damage, but creates slipstreams with projectiles that give speed boosts to teammates and himself
PARTY: Heals teammates with a piercing, damaging projectile."

In his work mode, Jae-yong throws piercing speakers that deal very low damage and drop trails of slipstreams that follow the attack's path. The slipstreams last for 2.5 seconds each, and increases his and allies' movement speed by 20% for 0.75 seconds. In his party mode, Jae-yong throws piercing bottles that deal 13% more damage and heal allies in their path for 30.76% of party mode's damage. Both attacks can go through both allies and enemies.

Super: Mix It Up!

"Switch between Jae-yong's Work & Party modes! Switching modes changes Jae-yong's main attack and activates the matching ability.
WORK: Gives all nearby teammates a temporary movement speed boost.
PARTY: Heals all nearby teammates."

Jae-yong switches between his work and party modes, which changes his main attacks. When switching into his work mode, he creates a 4.17-tile radius area effect around him that increases the movement speed of his and teammates inside the area-of-effect by 30% for 2 seconds. When switching into his party mode, he instantly heals himself and allies.

Gadgets

Weekend Warrior

"Deals area damage and increases main attack damage for 5 sec."

When activated, Jae-yong instantly damages every target in a large 4.17-tile radius, with its damage being equal to the healing from party mode projectiles. It also changes his main attack into spoons, increasing the damage for 5 seconds to 53% more than work mode or 35% more than party mode, but won't drop speed-boosting slipstreams nor heal allies.

Time For a Slow Song

"Jae-yong slows enemies around him and his attacks will leave trails of slowing paperwork for 5 sec."

When activated, Jae-yong instantly slows every target in a large 4.17-tile radius by 30%, and changes his attack to piercing speakers that deal the same damage as his work mode projectiles and drop trails of paperwork that follow the attack's path for 5 seconds. The paperwork lasts for 3.5 seconds each, and slow enemies down by 20% for 0.75 seconds, but does not drop speed-boosting slipstreams nor heal allies.

Star Powers

The Crowd Goes Mild

"Being near teammates gives Jae-yong a 10% speed boost per teammate in range."

Jae-yong's movement speed is increased by 10% for every nearby ally within 4.17 tiles. This speed boost stacks with more allies inside of the radius, and stacks with other speed boosts such as Max's Super or Stu's Speed Zone Gadget.

Extra High Note

"Main Attacks now deal an additional 20% Damage per target pierced."

This Star Power increases the attack projectile's damage by 20% if the projectile hits more targets. This Star Power affects Power Cube boxes in Showdown, allowing for increased damage output if Power Cube boxes align with each other.

Wasabi Power

This section describes content that has been replaced or removed from the game. This information is kept here for historical purposes.
"Leaves a trail that speeds up teammates. He also charges his Super faster."

Jae-yong left trails of slipstreams behind that increased the movement speed of his and his allies inside the area-of-effect. Additionally, he could charge his Super with his attacks.

Tips

  • At the beginning of the match, Jae-Yong can attack forward to boost his and his teammates' movement speeds to control the center. Beware of splash damage when using this tactic.
  • Jae-Yong's Super can be used frequently as it is charged every 6.67 seconds, so do not hesitate to use heal when any teammates are low on health and provide speed buffs when they have enough health to attack.
    • However, Jae-Yong's Work Mode can be used to help him and teammates escape from close-range combat, so whenever there are assassins on the opponent team, keep an eye on them and swap to Work Mode whenever necessary.
    • To that end, use either Gadget, which are both effective in deterring enemies, when being surprised attacked by an opposing assassin.
