Hawkins Hunt is an Event that was introduced during the October 2025 update for the Stranger Things Event. Like Oni Hunt and Brawl-o-ween Bosses, in this event, three players battle against one of 2 bosses: Spirit Frank and Vecna, as well as visiting bosses from the Brawl-o-ween Bosses event: Carreta Spike, Ghost Diver Rico, and Headless Tickman. Like Upside Showdown, Hawkins Hunt is divided into 5 stages, called a run. Runs are completed by either winning all 5 stages, or every 6 days if the run is not completed. Losing one battle at any point of the run will reset the run, starting from stage 1.
The battle starts after selecting one Power Card and becomes more difficult by each level. With each win, the difficulty progresses to the next level, with the final difficulty you can challenge is Insane. Each boss uses a wide range of attacks and has a huge amount of health (much more than the Big Brawler in Big Game and the Boss Robot in Boss Fight). A timer is shown to keep track of anger levels and to compare times with others. Hawkins Hunt is an unranked mode, so Trophies can’t be earned or lost. If you are playing with teammates, the level is set to the lowest that the members of your team have reached. Brawlers' Supers and Hypercharges are 70% less effective at charging in this mode. The players win if they can destroy the boss, but they lose if the 5-minute timer runs out or all three of them are defeated at any moment. Power Cards are enabled in this mode.
Spirit Frank[]
Abilities[]
- Anger: Spirit Frank gets more powerful attacks as time passes, encouraging players to try defeat him as fast as they can before it becomes more difficult. Spirit Frank also becomes slightly faster with every increase in Anger.
- Normal - 5:00 time remaining
- Angry - 3:29 time remaining
- Furious - 2:29 time remaining
- Enraged - 1:49 time remaining
- God Mode - 1:09 time remaining
- Shots: When there is a Brawler near Spirit Frank, Spirit Frank pauses momentarily, then slams the floor, sending 12 piercing shots in a 270˚ angle that deal 1,500 damage to Brawlers.
- Stunning shots: Spirit Frank fires 14 shots in a 360˚ angle that damages and stuns Brawlers. When the projectile reaches its maximum distance, a pouch of fire will appear in its place dealing the same amount of damage as the shots and lasting for 5 seconds.
- Stunned: On Master difficulty or lower, Spirit gets stunned for a short while, being unable to move or to attack while taking double damage from all sources.
- Charge: Spirit Frank dashes a long distance. Any Brawlers hit in the dash will receive 1,750 damage. This dash can be interrupted by bodies of water.
- Lambent Mortis minions: Spirit Frank throws a projectile with moderate speed. The location in which the projectile lands is marked with a red circle. While the projectile itself does not do damage, it spawns a Lambent Mortis minion with health that dashes on Brawlers, dealing melee damage. Attacking the minions can charge Brawlers' Super.
- Pull: Spirit Frank will create a large vortex around him that pulls Brawlers towards him, in which he will perform his stunning shot ability afterward. An alarm will sound before Spirit Frank creates the vortex.

Abilities[]
- Anger: Vecna gets more powerful attacks as time passes, encouraging players to try defeat him as fast as they can before it becomes more difficult. Vecna and Demogorgon also become slightly faster with every increase in Anger.
- Normal - 5:00 time remaining
- Angry - 3:29 time remaining
- Furious - 2:29 time remaining
- Enraged - 1:29 time remaining
- God Mode - 1:09 time remaining
- Vortexes: Vecna creates 3 vortexes in his vicinity that, after a minor delay, suck any Brawler into its center, dealing damage and stunning them for 5 seconds. Vecna always begins his boss fight with this attack.
- Hurricanes: Vecna sends 6 hurricanes identical to Mina's consecutively in a somewhat cone formation that damage Brawlers and launch them in the air upon contact, pulling them towards him by 1.2 tiles. While in the air, Brawlers can't move or use their attack, Super, Gadget, or Hypercharge, but will be completely immune to all damage besides status effects and damage applied over time.
- Exploding Rocks: Vecna pauses, then spawns 5 floating rocks consecutively in his vicinity that explode after a short delay, sending 5 projectiles radially that deal damage.
- Teleport: Identically to Lily's Super, Vecna shoots a large grandfather clock forward, that upon hitting a Brawler, instantly teleports him opposite wherever the target Brawler was facing, and deals damage. However, he will not teleport if the Super does not hit an enemy. The Super ignores pets and spawnables, and the projectile will simply pass through them. Vecna tends to follow up his Vortex attack with this attack, aiming for the nearest brawler.
- Pull: In Expert and above, Vecna will create a very large vortex around him that pulls Brawlers after a short delay exactly to him, in which he will deal 4400 damage to each Brawler pulled. Vecna has a short windup before he deals the damage and only deals damage to brawlers directly next to him, so running away to avoid damage is very possible.
Demogorgon Pet Ability[]
The Demogorgon pet follows the closest Brawler, and dashes towards them when it gets close enough, dealing damage and knockback if it hits them.
Levels[]
Every time you beat Vecna, he gains more health, damage, and abilities.

- Knockbacks: If a target gets close enough, Carreta Spike knocks them back, dealing 800 damage and shooting 10 nuts and bolts radially that also deal damage.
- Charges: Carreta Spike marks a lane in front of him, getting ready to charge. He will then leave a large area that damages and slows targets down at the beginning and at the end of his charge length.
- Three projectiles: Carreta Spike marks a lane in front of him, then throws 3 projectiles with a spread that deal damage. The projectiles will, upon impact with a target or wall, or reaching their maximum range, explode three times radially in a sequence. The first sequence shoots 10 projectiles, the second 8, and the third 6.

Maps[]
Hawkins Hunt |
Carreta Spike • Ghost Diver Rico • Headless Tickman • Spirit Frank • Vecna | |
|---|---|---|
Useful Brawlers[]
- 8-Bit, Colt, Tick, Rico, Amber, Surge, Emz, Darryl, Stu, Clancy, Spike, Bull, Brock, Griff, Shelly, Buzz, Leon, Colette, and Nani, all do well considering their high damage/DPS, and some can deploy Super after Super. Keep in mind that some of them lack the agility to avoid the high-damaging attacks the Bosses can use.
- In particular, Emz is useful for damaging Spirit Frank thanks to being more stationary, but lacks the agility to escape Vecna and the Demogorgon, making her a better brawler in the former's boss fight.
- Spike can lure the Boss into any edge of the map and outheal the melee attack by using the Plant Life Star Power and placing the Super on top of the Boss and himself. Spike can effectively trap the Boss so the other players can do more damage without getting hurt.
- Crow can also auto-aim his Hypercharged Super, making all daggers hit the Boss and instantly recharge his Super. Activating his Super repeatedly can even outdamage the Boss during God Mode.
Vecna[]
- Finx is a useful Brawler to maintain survivability, using his Super to slow down attacks and his No Escape Gadget to pause the Vecna's attacks. He has a very good synergy when using his Primer Star Power especially when paired with high DPS brawlers like Griff and Colt, whose multi-projectile attacks not only get a useful boost from his Super, but also help its effects last for longer.
- Use Brawlers with high escapability and long range to fight off Vecna such as Piper with her Super, Colt with his Slick Boots Star Power, and Rico with his Robo Retreat Star Power, allowing you to comfortably snipe him out of his attack radius and escape whenever needed.
- Tanks like El Primo and Ash are useful in Vecna's boss fight as they can outrun his attacks and deal consistent damage, as well as serve as damage sponges to shield teammates.
- Jessie's Super makes her a useful brawler in distracting Vecna, as not only will Scrappy take hits for her, Vecna treats it as a target and will prioritize teleporting to Scrappy with his teleport attack, preventing your teammates from taking the brunt of the damage. Scrappy also deals good damage and has a lot of resilience with Jessie's Energize Star Power.
Ghost Diver Rico[]
- One of the most important strategies is destroying as much obstacles as possible to prevent Ghost Diver Rico's bullets from bouncing. And the most fitting Brawler for the job is Colt. Paired with his Power Card that destroys obstacles with his main attack, Colt must spend the first minute of the game solely focusing on destroying all the obstacles around the boss. After doing so, all team members can proceed to take down the boss.
Tips[]
- Use Brawlers with high DPS so the time needed to defeat the boss is lowered.
- While most of the bosses' projectiles break walls, they will disappear upon breaking said wall. As such, be cautious about when you hide behind walls as they can only be used as cover once.
Spirit Frank[]
- Have a team containing 2 high-damage non close-range Brawlers and Spike, Emz, Chester, Griff, Nani, or Shelly, who keeps the Boss from charging away from the team.
- Move to the center of the Boss' hitbox to avoid getting hit by the 360˚ shots.
- Try to have on teammate focused on taking down the Lambent Mortises; they can deal a lot of damage when allowed to catch up with you.
Vecna[]
- Vecna's attacks have a lot of windups but cover large amounts of area, so choose Brawlers with mobility options and upgrade either your speed or range when facing him, the latter being preferred as you can hit him from safety without the risk of getting caught in his attack.
- Excluding his rock detonation attack, Vecna always attacks in front of himself, following the nearest Brawler around. As such, try to get one teammate, preferably one with high HP or speed, to bait him around while the others attack his behind.
- A very reliable strategy is that one Brawler lead the Demogorgon pet away from the other Brawlers into a far place, then circle around it and damage it, while the other two players attack Vecna. Once the Demogorgon is finished, the player can join their teammates to take down Vecna.
- This is useful as the Demogorgon's attacks often combo into Vecna's preventing you from dodging his attacks and trapping you in their attacks.
- If you see your teammates trapped in Vecna's stun, try leading the Demogorgon into knocking them out of the way. The combo that follows is often deadlier and this will probably save their life.
- Vecna's suction attacks only deal damage or apply their effects if you get sucked into the centre, so try to position yourself around water or walls to prevent yourself from getting sucked in. Meeple's Mansions of Meeple Gadget and Sprout's Super can be used in a pinch to create new walls.
Ghost Diver Rico[]
- Ghost Diver Rico primarily thrives because of his projectiles that gain a very long travel distance once they bounce, which is why eliminating all obstacles/as much obstacles as possible is the first step that must be taken at the start of the game.
