Gems are an in-game currency used to buy Brawlers and their skins, as well as XP Doublers, Pins, Sprays, Profile Icons, Coins, and Power Points. Gems can be purchased with real money either in the in-game Shop or in the Supercell Store, and various other in-game methods.

Unlocking tiers in the Brawl Pass. Currently, the Brawl Pass contains 5 tiers (located at tiers 6, 18, 26, 38, and 42) that award 10 Gems each, for a total of 50 Gems. Purchasing the Brawl Pass and the Brawl Pass Plus each awards an additional 10 Gems at these tiers.
Unlocking tiers in the Pro Pass. Currently, the free Pro Pass contains 10 tiers (located at tiers 14, 21, 34, 41, 54, 61, 74, 81, 94, and 98) that award 5 Gems each, for a total of 50 Gems. Purchasing the paid Pro Pass awards an additional 600 Gems through several tiers that award 5 Gems and 10 Gems.
The Daily Streak. Currently, the 60-day cycle of rewards have 2 days (located at days 5 and 19) that award 3 Gems each, for a total of 6 Gems per 60 days.
Trophy Boxes also have a chance of awarding either 3 Gems or 100 Gems in each draw. Bigger Trophy Boxes have a higher chance of awarding a greater number of Gems.
Purchasing through In-App Purchases or through the Supercell Store. The exact prices of various Gem packages can be found later in this page.
Purchases through the Supercell Store provides 10% more Gems when compared with purchases made inside the app.
The Supercell Store also offers 10 free Gems each season without spending real money.
Supercell also occasionally hosts giveaway contests that award Gems.
Through Brawler Boxes and some Event Boxes and Event Drops.
Uses[]
Buying XP Doublers from the Shop to double the amount of XP earned while playing matches or from Quests. This doubler costs 25 Gems and doubles the next 1000 XPs received at the end of any match.
Purchasing the individual tiers in the Brawl Pass for 30 Gems. The Brawl Pass itself rewards a total of 50 Gems each season on the free side of the pass. An additional 50 Gems is awarded for purchasing the Brawl Pass and the Brawl Pass Plus, respectively.
Purchasing the individual tiers in the Pro Pass for 30 Gems. The Pro Pass itself rewards a total of 50 Gems each season on the free side of the pass. An additional 600 Gems is awarded for purchasing the paid Pro Pass.
Buying Power Points from the Shop. These appear as offers and can be used on any Brawler.
Purchasing Brawler skins from the Shop. Skins are purely cosmetic modifications to a Brawler's appearance and provide no competitive advantages. Excluding sales, skins can cost 29, 79, 149, 199, 299 or 499 Gems.
Purchasing Hypercharge Collector's Packs or individual Hypercharges for Brawlers within 7 days when they are first released.
Changing a player name for 60 Gems. The first name change is free. Any changes after that will cost 30 Gems more. The duration between one name change and another is 3 days.
Topping up missing Power Points or Coins for upgrading a Brawler.
Topping up missing Coins for the purchase of a Gadget, Star Power, Gear, Hypercharge, or True skin. One Gem is equivalent to 10 Coins.
Topping up missing Bling for the purchase of a Pin, Spray, Profile Icon or Brawler skin. One Gem is equivalent to 33 Bling.
Sometimes, Brawler Offers will appear in the Shop. These offers cost Gems and will give you the Brawler that it is offering as well as some other resources, such as Skins or Power Points for the offered Brawler.
Gems are bought using real money through in-app purchases. Price may vary depending on your country/region.

History[]
On 19/06/18, Gems were made available in all Brawl Boxes. Gems had a 9% drop rate and within that chance, a 61% chance for 3 Gems, 27% chance for 5 Gems, 9% chance for 8 Gems, and a 3% chance for 12 Gems. Additionally, Legendary Brawlers were made available for Brawler Offers.
On 13/05/20, Gems were removed from Brawl Boxes and added to the free tiers of the Brawl Pass with 90 Gems per Brawl Pass season.
On 12/12/23, the number of Gems on the free tiers of the Brawl Pass was decreased to 50 Gems per season (from 90). Gems were added to the paid side of the Brawl Pass and the Brawl Pass Plus with 50 Gems each per season.
On 29/10/24, Gems were made available in all Trophy Boxes.
On 25/02/25, Gems were added to the free and paid tiers of the Pro Pass, with 50 and 600 Gems, respectively, per Pro Pass season.
On 03/09/25, local prices were adjusted in over 100 countries in Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Southeast and Central Asia.
Supercell Store provides 10% more Gems when compared with purchases made inside the app.
