Friendly Battles is a feature that lets the host who creates a Friendly lobby play any event with either friends or bots without winning Trophies or losing them, or gaining Mastery points. Any Brawler a player selects in a Friendly lobby will be completely maxed out. Friendly Battles are what let the creator of a map in Map Maker get qualified after enough people upvote it. The only maps available to play are the maps in the current rotation.
Event Selection[]
The only events the Host can select to play are the events that aren't either Special Events, or limited-time events. This includes:
- Map Maker maps the host has made
- Gem Grab
- Gem Grab 5v5
- Solo Showdown
- Duo Showdown
- Trio Showdown
- Heist
- Bounty
- Brawl Ball
- Brawl Ball 5v5
- Jellyfishing
- Hot Zone
- Knockout
- Knockout 5v5
- Duels
Modifiers[]
The host has a selection of Modifiers they can select to apply to their next battle. These include:
- Ranked (Make the next game go by Ranked rules)
- Number of Rounds (Select from either 1 to 3 rounds for the battle)
- Preparation Timers (Pick either normal, x1.5, or x2 additional duration for preparation)
- Energy Drink
- Angry Robo
- Meteor Shower
- Graveyard Shift
- Super Charge
- Fast Brawlers
- Top Dog
- Unlimited Power
- Super Bushy
- Timed Detonation
- Hyper Drop
- Healing Breeze
Teams[]
The host has many tools to help them configure the teams in a Friendly Battle. The host can invite a friend or clubmate by tapping on a bot icon, or by tapping on the tab on the top right corner of the screen. In order to turn off a bot, the host must tap on the green power button on the top right corner on a bot icon. If the power button is red, that means that the bot is disabled. The host can also switch what team a player is. To do this, they must tap on the player, then tap on "SWITCH TEAM", and then the host must tap on whatever player slot the selected player will be swapped to.
Usage[]
Friendly Battles are used for many purposes.
- Practicing and testing purposes, like trying out a Brawler casually, testing attacks, Supers, Gadgets, Star Powers, and or Gears, testing a player's map, or trying out Modifiers.
- Setting up friendly competitions against friends and or clubmates, possibly with the Power League ruleset.
- Can be used purely for fun and amusement, like looking around a map's environment, playing around with bots, etc.
