Chuck is a Mythic Brawler who has high health and a high damage output at close range. His Trait allows his Super to charge itself over time. He attacks by firing three clouds of steam that deal more damage up close. For his Super, Chuck places down a Post that damages and knocks enemies back if out of any of his Posts' range, and dashes to the nearest Post as well as other Posts if in any of his Posts' range. His first Gadget, Rerouting, removes the nearest Post and recharges his Super. His second Gadget, Ghost Train, allows his next dash to pass through obstacles. His first Star Power, Pit Stop, allows Chuck to place down a fourth Post. His second Star Power, Tickets Please!, allows Chuck's next dash to remove ammo from any enemy Brawler it hits while restoring his ammo.

Chuck's Super will charge itself over time, similar to Darryl. It takes 5 seconds to fully charge his Super without other Super-charging abilities.

Attack: Steam Engine[]

"Shoots a cloud of steam from Chuck's hat, piercing and damaging enemies."

Chuck fires three clouds of steam that pierces through enemies. Targets closer to Chuck take the most damage, and targets near Chuck's maximum range take significantly less damage. Chuck's attack takes 0.5 seconds to complete.

Super: Choo-Choo![]

"Dash to the nearest Post in line of sight, damaging enemies on the way. While no Posts are in line of sight, throw a new Post to the ground."

If the player manually aims the Super joystick, Chuck lobs a Post that damages and knocks back enemies near where it lands. A maximum of 3 Posts can be placed. Spawning more Posts causes the others to disappear in the order they are placed. The Posts stay indefinitely until a goal is scored in Brawl Ball or a round ends in Knockout or Duels.

If the player taps on the Super joystick when Chuck is within 6.67 tiles of a Post, Chuck dashes to it, dealing high damage to enemies in the way. After hitting a Post, if there is another Post within 10 tiles and it is not obstructed by obstacles, Chuck dashes to it, repeating until he has dashed to every Post or there are no more Posts within 10 tiles without obstacles blocking it. Chuck also gains a shield that reduces all damage he takes while dashing by 50%. While dashing to Posts, Chuck can still be stunned, slowed, or knocked back.

Chuck always starts the match and respawns with 1% of his Super charged.

Ghost Train[]

Activating this Gadget allows all of the dashes in Chuck's next Super to connect to posts behind walls. A Gadget symbol will glow above Chuck's head signaling this Gadget's usage, as well as a glowing Super joystick. This Gadget's cooldown starts after the Super ends.

Enemies hit by Chuck's dashes will lose one-third of their ammo. Meanwhile, Chuck gains one-third of the stolen ammo to his own ammo bar. If an enemy Brawler's ammo bar is empty, Chuck will not receive any more ammo even if the dash hits them, but Chuck can still remove enemies' ammo even if his ammo bar is full. This Star Power does not work against the Heist safe, the IKE turret in Siege, or spawnables.

Tips[]

  • Chuck is a great pick in Gem Grab due to the fact he can place a Post on the enemy side to dash quickly and take out the other team's Gem carrier, or he can place a Post on his own side, allowing him to retreat quickly with lots of Gems.
  • Chuck is also a good pick in Hot Zone as he can set up multiple Posts leading from his spawn right into the Zone. With a good Post setup, Chuck can both quickly arrive in the Zone and heavily damage enemies in it, allowing him or his teammates to finish them off.
  • Chuck can deal incredible damage to stationary targets with his Super, so he's great in Heist and Siege. Once he has his Posts spawned, he can use his fast-charging Super to repeatedly dash on to and back from the safe or the turret. This allows him to quickly deal damage and retreat with unbelievable speed. In Siege, he can place his posts to quickly dash onto the bolt's spawn point, or align the Post from his Super with the enemy's IKE turret, then use it to dash, dealing 3500 damage on the way. He will receive a 50% damage reduction shield while using his Super, which, combined with his fast-moving Super speed, allows him to repeatedly damage the IKE turret while taking minimal damage. He can also deal high damage to defending enemies if they align with the turret and your team's robot advancing, potentially taking them out.
  • Chuck can throw a Post over a wall, and then at any time he can activate his Ghost Train Gadget and use his Super to get through the wall and quickly eliminate anyone hiding behind the wall near his Post.
  • Chuck has a generally slow reload speed, so it is always best to be at or near full ammo when using his Super to dash, or hitting people with his Tickets Please! Star Power equipped.
  • Chuck can be predictable if activating his Super with the exact same Posts, allowing for enemies to camp out his final Post where he will stop. To avoid this, use his Rerouting Gadget to remove a Post, and place it somewhere else, possibly changing his final destination.
  • Chuck already has insane mobility without any assistance, but his Pit Stop Star Power can increase his mobility even more by allowing him to have up to 4 (from 3) Posts on the ground, allowing him to cover even more ground with his dashing Super.
