Angels vs. Demons is an event that happened during Brawl Pass Season 32: Angels vs. Demons. The event featured a new contest system, two new trophy events, new Brawler Abilities, and new rewarding items.
Every day upon opening the game, the "Coin of Fate" will flip, and the player will either be assigned as an Angel or as a Demon for 24 hours. On weekends, however, the player will get a "Free Will" to willingly choose which side they would be on. Based on their side, several things are switched. The player will have a special lobby background and lobby music. Only Angelic Abilities can be equipped if the player is an Angel, and only Demonic Abilities can be equipped if the player is a Demon. The daily Starr Drops would also be changed to Angelic or Demonic Drops based on the player's side. Opening Angelic and Demonic Drops contribute to unlocking Angel & Demon Abilities.
Angelic & Demonic Drops[]
Angelic and Demonic Drops are special items that give rewards. These Drops contain Coins, XP Doublers, Power Points, Gems, Bling, Gadgets, Star Powers, Hypercharges, Brawlers, Angels vs. Demons skins, other related skins, Pins, Sprays, and Profile Icons. They are opened by pressing and holding them. The longer you have to hold the Drop, the more valuable the reward will be. Angelic Drops contain Angelic cosmetics, while Demonic Drops contain Demonic cosmetics.

Abilities[]

Abilities are extra abilities available for all Brawlers. There are 6 Angel Abilities and 6 Demon Abilities, and only one can be equipped in a game. They can be previewed in the "Codex of Doom" under the Brawlers menu. One Angel and Demon Ability can be obtained by opening 1, 3, 6, 9, 15, and 24 total Angelic and Demonic Drops, respectively, totaling to 58 Angelic Drops and 58 Demonic Drops required to open to unlock all Angel and Demon Abilities. Abilities can only be active in events with the Chaos Modifier.
Contest[]
A contest would be active every 3 days between 50 players. Every day, 5 tickets are given to the player to play in the event featured in the contest. Winning at least one game in a contest will qualify you for a reward. At the end of a contest, players can choose to receive Angelic or Demonic Drops. The 50 players would be placed in ranks on a leaderboard according to how many games they won during the 3 days each contest lasts, with a total of 15 attempts per contest. Rewards at the end of a contest depend on the placement in your leaderboard. If multiple players tie for their number of wins, they will all receive the highest reward.

Other Changes[]
- An "Angels & Demons" special tab was added to the event selection screen, which included the Contest that featured Trio Showdown, Spirit Wars or Soul Collector.
- The background of the Brawler selection menu would also be changed based on your current side, with a text below saying "All Brawlers are Angelic/Demonic".
- Pressing an Ability in the Codex of Doom creates a musical note. Each Ability has a special note, with Angel Abilities creating an angelic note, and Demon Abilities creating a demonic note.
