Angels vs. Demons is an event that happened during Brawl Pass Season 32: Angels vs. Demons. The event featured a new contest system, two new trophy events, new Brawler Abilities, and new rewarding items.
Every day upon opening the game, the "Coin of Fate" will flip, and the player will either be assigned as an Angel or as a Demon for 24 hours. On weekends, however, the player will get a "Free Will" to willingly choose which side they would be on. Based on their side, several things are switched. The player will have a special lobby background and lobby music. Only Angelic Abilities can be equipped if the player is an Angel, and only Demonic Abilities can be equipped if the player is a Demon. The daily Starr Drops would also be changed to Angelic or Demonic Drops based on the player's side. Opening Angelic and Demonic Drops contribute to unlocking Angel & Demon Abilities.
The event returned during the June 2025 update. Unlike the original event, it was split into two parts, with the Angel event (known in-game as Ascending Angels) happening during Brawl Pass Season 40: Legends of the Underworld, and the Demon event (known in-game as Descending Demons) happening during Brawl Pass Season 41: King of the Starr Table. All Angel & Demon Abilities were unlocked by default. However, opening Angelic and Demonic Drops contribute to unlocking more slots, allowing the player to have one or more Ability equipped.
Angelic & Demonic Drops[]
Angelic and Demonic Drops are a special type of drops introduced in the October 2024 update for the Angels vs. Demons Event. These Drops contain 1 reward. They can contain Coins, Power Points, XP Doublers, Gems, Bling, Gadgets, Star Powers, Hypercharges, new Brawlers, and Angels vs. Demons + related cosmetic: skins, Pins, Sprays, Profile Icons. They are opened by pressing and holding them instead of tapping. The longer you have to hold the Drop, the more valuable the reward will be.

Abilities[]
- Main article: Angel & Demon Abilities
Abilities are extra abilities available for all Brawlers. There are 6 Angel Abilities and 6 Demon Abilities, and only one can be equipped in a game. They can be previewed in the "Codex of Doom" under the Brawlers menu. One Angel and Demon Ability can be obtained by opening 1, 3, 6, 9, 15, and 24 total Angelic and Demonic Drops, respectively, totaling to 58 Angelic Drops and 58 Demonic Drops required to open to unlock all Angel and Demon Abilities. Abilities can only be active in events with the Chaos Modifier.
In the June 2025 update, these Abilities (named in-game as Angel & Demon Skils) returned to the game. There are 8 Angel Abilities and 8 Demon Abilities, and, initially, only one can be equipped in a game. However, more slots can be opening be obtained by opening 1, 9, and 25 total Angelic and Demonic Drops, respectively, totaling to 35 Angelic Drops and 35 Demonic Drops required to open to unlock all three slots. Abilities can only be active in events with the Chaos Modifier.
Contests[]
A contest would be active every 3 days between 50 players. Every day, 5 tickets are given to the player to play in the event featured in the contest. Winning at least one game in a contest will qualify you for a reward. At the end of a contest, players can choose to receive Angelic or Demonic Drops. The 50 players would be placed in ranks on a leaderboard according to how many games they won during the 3 days each contest lasts, with a total of 15 attempts per contest. Rewards at the end of a contest depend on the placement in your leaderboard. If multiple players tie for their number of wins, they will all receive the highest reward.
In the Angels event in July 2025, a contest would be active every 3 days between 50 players, and every day 5 tickets are given to the player to play in the event featured in the contest. At the end of a contest, players receive Angelic Drops. However, in the Demons event in August 2025, a contest would be active every 2 days between 50 players, players have to choose between 2 game modes on a specific map, and every day 5 tickets are given to all players who declared the game mode they would like to play. At the end of a contest, players receive Demonic Drops.

Other Changes[]
- An "Angels & Demons" special tab was added to the event selection screen, which included the Contest that featured Trio Showdown, Spirit Wars or Soul Collector.
- The background of the Brawler selection menu would also be changed based on your current side, with a text below saying "All Brawlers are Angelic/Demonic".
- Pressing an Ability in the Codex of Doom creates a musical note. Each Ability has a special note, with Angel Abilities creating an angelic note, and Demon Abilities creating a demonic note.
- Before its announcement, the event was teased through a button beneath the Starr Road button that had a book icon and said "Do not enter". When you do enter by pressing the button, it takes you to a screen of a book with a large text saying "DON'T TAP!". Tapping it would cause the book to 'rage' and three hands would stick out from it. Occasionally, images of a red face or two glowing eyes in a dark room would jumpscare the player, who would later turn out to be Demon Mortis and the Oddities Shop respectively. It would also turn out eventually that whoever tapped the book received the Demon Book Pin, while whoever didn't received the Angel Book Pin. Additionally, the lobby background started gradually 'cracking' until the update dropped. Tapping the book would also cause several messages to be displayed with each tap:
