Trolls are something that nearly every online community has to deal with, but the way they do deal with trolls greatly affects the trolls' ability to cause disruption. Recent behavior in response to trolls appearing here on Discussions has been problematic, so I wanted to clarify what you should do if you come across a troll. This way, we can work together to minimize their impact.
It is important that you do not feed the trolls. If you see someone making a comment that is mean toward another user, spam, or otherwise trolling, do not respond to it or talk about it. Doing so only encourages trolls to continue. Similarly, do not make more Discussion threads calling the trolls out. This only gives them the attention that they want. Also, someone being a troll is not an excuse for you to harass or bully back. By engaging in the same behavior as the troll, you are only compounding the problem, and it could get you in trouble as well.
So how should you deal with trolls? The report button is your friend. If you see a comment that breaks the rules, simply report it and move on. Replying, spamming about the troll, and pinging people about it only makes the problem worse. By simply reporting and ignoring, you help ensure the troll is dealt with while minimizing the troll's impact on the Discussions board.
Let's keep this wiki's Discussion board a fun, safe place to discuss Brawl Stars.
If you have any further questions about how you should handle trolls, I will answer them in the comments of this thread.
